Summary: | Christmas postcard featuring the image of the infant Jesus, wearing a white garment with yellow coloured fabric at collar and cuffs; he is depicted standing on a cloud, his arms stretched out, as though in a blessing. Two angels kneel underneath, eyes downcast; one (on left) wears a light blue coloured garment, while the angel (at right) wears a pale pink garment. Underneath this, printed on a scroll within the image in Cló Gaelach is printed "Nodlaig geal duit" ["Have a bright (i.e. pleasant) Christmas"]. Ivy, holly and other foliage along with gold stars and decorative interlace work is also featured on the postcard. Verso of card blank. Printed in black ink on verso is: "Fergus O'Connor Dublin. - Publisher to the Trade". |
