Summary: | This originally belonged to a 'high-class grocer and wine merchant' called William H. Dann. He was also owner of the schoner 'Joseph Fisher' which, when bringing coal from Garston near Liverpool to Wicklow, was sunk by a submarine off the Codling Lighthouse in September 1918. The crew drifted for sixteen hours in an open boat until they were rescued. In recent years, a restaurant was opened above the Beach House (Cooper's). |
