Summary:A.I.B. Church Rd Greysrones ,the buildings now called the Allied Irish Bank and Eugenes were built for my father by Patrick Kinlen who also built many houses on the Burnaby Estate.Kinlen Roa is called after him. Work started in 1896 and finished April 1898. The shop called Burnaby Stores was opened on 5th May 1898. An extenstion was added again to Burnaby Stores by the Kinlens in 1905. All brickwork was Courtown Brick. Mr. Glynn opened the Burnaby Pharmacy , now Eugenes in 1905. it became the Royal Bank of Ireland in 1922 and A.I.B. in 1969. In 1971 the Burnaby Stores closed and then became the present Allied Irish Bank.
