Summary: | Marlborough House is on the left in the photograph. It was built in 1975 to accommodate Government Departments in the new City of Craigavan. The windows do not open as the building was designed to be super fuel efficient following a huge increase in the cost of oil. Fortunately for the civil servants the new system has been successful. The building to the right of Marlborough House is the Craigavan Courthouse. It was opened in May 1985 and is built of dark brick with a grey pitched roof. This gives it a sombre appearance which contrasts greatly with that of Marlborough House. |
