Summary:Keady Mill, Kinelowen Street has recently been refurbished from a laying poultry house to 4 large modern shop units on the first floor, office accommodation on the upper floor and a restaurant and Heritage Centre on the lower ground floor with refurbished water wheel. The mill was originally a corn mill in 1836 being powered by two wheels 16 feet and 15 feet diameter. In 1862 it was converted to spinning when it was powered by a 28 feet diameter wheel and a 15hp high pressure steam engine. Spinning ceased in 1879 and in 1891 the mill re-opened as a weaving factory, surviving to 1927.
