Summary: | The church was erected under the will of Sir Richard Hansard in 1622, the church is non late 18th century appearane. The tower was apped about 1800. Inside is an impressie monument to Sir Richard Hansard and his wife Anne who both died 1619. They are both shown as kneeling figures, both facing each other in Jacobean costume. The hands of the sculptures have been broken off by either Cromwellian soldiers or James II's soldiers (according to local folklore). The figures with a tablet inscription behind are finely painted. |
