Summary:Leaflet encouraging the public to vote for Erskine Childers (1905-1974) in the election on 30 May 1973 for president of Ireland. Leaflet features many black and white images - amongst them one of Erskine Childers within a circle on recto; on the inside of leaflet an image of him, his [second] wife Rita (neé Dudley) and daughter Nessa; an image of him with two small boys (playing on the floor of a room), taken when he was Minister for Health and an image taken when he was serving as Tánaiste. Erskine Childers was elected president (by 635,867 votes to Tom O'Higgins' 578,771 votes) and on 25 June 1973 he was inaugurated as the fourth President of Ireland. He died in office on 17 November 1974. Printed at bottom of sheet: "Issued by Anthony Dudley, Solr., 51 Fitzwilliam Sq., Dublin 2, Agent for the candidate and printed by John Augustine Printers".
