Summary: | Leaflet [single sheet folded into 4 p.] issued by Cumann na mBan in August 1931 detailing buildings and places in Dublin and within the Dublin suburbs associated with historical events throughout the years, such as the 1798 Rebellion [the crypt in the St. Michan's Church where the Sheares brothers were buried], Emmet's 1803 rebellion [Green Street Court House], the landing of guns by the Irish Volunteers at Howth Pier, the 1916 Rising [the Four Courts, Dublin Castle, Kilmainham Jail, Arbour Hill Barracks, O'Connell Street] and references to Glasnevin Cemetery, "contains the graves of most of the patriots of recent years as well as the remains of many well-known patriots of the '67 [1867] period such as O'Donovan Rossa and Joseph O'Leary". |
