Summary: | Sarah Howard, in her undated letter written from Leamington to her son Cecil while he was a child, refers to a family holiday in England. Cecil Howard, in his childhood letters, writes of his life at a boarding school in Cheam, Surrey (notably his classwork and the death of a school fellow in a skating accident), his having run up debts when he was a student at Oxford, and later, in adulthood, his marriage, life in the army and business meetings with the family solicitor. Letters are written from Surrey, Dover, Worchester, Hastings and the Kildare Street Club, Dublin. With an attached envelope. |
