Illustration depicts a skeleton dressed in a soldier's uniform clutching a scythe (the Grim Reaper/Death) reporting to Field Marshal Sir Henry Wilson (1864-1922), who appears angry. In the background is a machine gun. Prior to his death, Wilson served as a security advisor to the Northern Ireland government. He was assassinated on 22 June 1922, a fortnight after this illustration was published in the Freeman's Journal.
