Summary: | Unpublished caption reads: In the nursery: Carson: "Here's a new little man for you - already wound up!" Caption reads: The Child: "Don't leave me, daddy." Sir Edward: "My dear child, I am too old to be your father, but, though I must desert you, console yourself with this new toy. It's got a sword 'n' everything." Illustration depicts Sir Edward Carson, wearing a crown; he holds out a toy figure to a little girl of Sir James Craig [later Ist Viscount Craigavon], who is marching while holding a sword. The little girl is wearing a dress with the word "Carsonia" across it. Toy figures of a pig and a police constable, truncheon in hand lie strewn on the floor in the background. |
