Summary: | C. W. Hamilton is probably Caroline Hamilton, neé Tighe, Mary Tighe's cousin, who was a close friend. A number of the poems are signed "C.H." or "Mary Tighe, author of Psyche" and a large number of the works describe the scenery in and around Wicklow and in particular Woodstock in Co. Kilkenny where the Tighe family owned the large state of Woodstock House. |
