| Summary: | The official opening of Athlone's newest Street, St. Peter's Port. Situated on the quays, on the Connaught side of Athlone, this development consisting of appartments and houses was developed by the National Building Agency. The site, which runs from the Quays into Fry Place was formerly the yard of the old R.I.C. Barracks. The official opening was performed by Mrs. Mary O'Rourke T.D. Mininster of State for Labour affairs on Monday 8th November, 1993 . |
