Summary: | Wicklow's cobbler,Jim Giff,has continued in the footsteps of his father and grandfather before him.Cobbling is an old tradition in the Giff family and despite the presence of numerous shops selling footwear in the town,Jim finds plenty of work to keep him busy.he says " In times of high unemployment the cobbler's work is greatly appreciated".Through a lifetime of cobbling Jim has provided a valuable service for the people of Wicklow down through the years.Jim lives at St.Laurences rd.Wicklow and is a Fianna Fail councillor for Wicklow Urban District Council. |
