| Summary: | Francis Johnson was the architect and local craftsmen the builders of this fine house. An older attached portion was removedby the present owners Carlmax & Vicky von Schmieder. A descendant of the original estate owner, Mr Nigel Staunton, has writen some reminiscences for the RHS publication"Window on the Past" No3. Plant specimen were removed by a previous owner from the walled garden in this century |
