Summary:Irish Fertilisers Industries (I.F.I.)is located at Marino Point,Great Island, across the river Lee from Passage West. Work on the site commenced in 1976 and the factory, then known as N.E.T. (Nitrigin Eireann Teo.), commenced operation in 1979.Currently employin 266,it is now jointly operated by N.E.T. and the British multi-national,I.C.I.
