Summary:St. Colman's Cathedral from the Crescent. Replicating historic photographs of yesteryear,Cobh's famous Cathedral is depicted from a favoured photographic vantage point - in front of the town's Victorian - period Crescent. Almost a century and a quarter after the building of the Cathedral commenced in 1869 and almost 80 years after its completion in1915, the Cathedral is now (1993 )in the second year of a major restoration project, hence the scaffolding seen here.
