Summary:This is 'The Greystones Shuttle', the engine being Number 461. Her original number when she was built in 1922 was 15. Between 1923 and 1955 she and her sister engine worked the heavy goods trains between Dublin and Wexford. In 1963 steam was all but eliminated in CIE. Number 461 was identified for preservation, and was offered to the Railway Preservation Society of Ireland in 1977. She was restored and steamed for the first tim in 30 years in 1989.
