Summary:This dovecote at Mosstown near Kenagh was probably built in the mid-eighteenth century, most likely by the Newcomen family. Mosstown House was built by the Kingston family in 1810. The estate was inherited by the Murray family in 1914. The house has long since gone but the dovecote was reroofed in 1992. Note the weather vane with the pigeon on top.
