Summary: | There is a dearth of modern public sculpture in Belfast, though this has been remedied somewhat with the erection of new works at Carlisle Circus, Cathedral Gardens and Blackstaff Square. Louse Walsh's controversial pair of working women, originally intended for Blackstaff Square, has found a prominent situation outside Great Northern Tower, occupying part of the site of the former Great Northern Railway Station. |
