Summary: | Ten months before this photograph wa taken this site was a blazing inferno, the pictures of which were transmitted throughout these islands. Images of the long - established family store,Moores of Coleraine, the windows of its Victorian facade ablaze against the November night sky and of the pathetic charred remains of the town centre at dawn, were a symbol to many of the waste and distruction of the Northernn Irish conflict. Yet this picture shows, typically, how the pieces of people's lives are painfully picked up, the rubble is cleared, trading struggles back to a kind of normality and plans are made for regeneration. |
