Summary:The Crumlon Glen has recently been developed by the Ministry of Agriculture. There is an atractive entrance and a fine stonework toilet complex. There is a spacious car park and picnic area. The river walk is thickly wooded and on different elevations, giving interesting views of the river, the best viewing point for the waterfall being from the cockle house, which was a Moslem man's prayer house. The area is well used by local people; many ladies with prams avail of the peace from the busy roads, and anglers fish in the pools. The Crumlin Glen became the property of the Ministry of Agriculture, Water Recreation Section in 1977. It was developed and opened in 1987.
