Summary: | School crossing patrol: Pat Kilroy has been working pat-time for five years, seeing 200 primary school children safely across St Patrick's Street each morning and afternoon.Pat also encounters approximately 800 secondary school children on their way to St Patrick's High School,a little further up the street. He, along with six other school crossing patrol men see the children safely to and from school through Keady, each moring and afternoon. The role of the school crossing patrol men has developed in this area only in the past fifteen to twenty years. |
