Summary: | The Norman motte guarded the river and was one of a number along the Six Mile River. It is 126 meters high with a flat top and is now in one corner of the War Memorial Park. Soldiers from the Castle at Carrickfergus reached the River Ollar near this point a distance of six miles from their base and the river took on a new name. |
