Summary:Stone Cross dating from 1341 when the Augustinian monks built a monastery here on 3 acres of land. In 1650 this monastery was burned and its monks slaughtered by Cromwell. Nothing remains today only this Cross Head over the blessed well. The Cross has a solid recess ring and is unusual in that the moulding of the ring of the cross carries through to the arms.
