A very impressive monument indeed. Somebody obviously missed the late 1st Earl of Cork. I would presume the earldom of Cork was created many centuries ago. There is a lot of very fancy writing in Latin to be translated, I for one can't wait to read all about it.

This is not a memorial erected after his death: Boyle erected an elaborate monument to himself, his wives, his mother, and his children in The Collegiate Church of St Mary Youghal, County Cork

The NIAH entry about the church says: The collection of memorial, including that of Richard Boyle, Earl of Cork, dating to 1620 and by Alexander Hills, are significant and noteworthy interior elements.

Very low L_CAB number might suggest an early date in the range, but here is L_CAB_00792 of Green Park, Youghal, with fountain and bandstand looking new. The NIAH dates them both to c1900. Google maps marks the park as the Easternmost point in Cork. On the other hand, L_CAB_00791 looks to be Nimmo's wooden bridge from before the lattice girder bridge built 1878-82, so no way to tell a date, these are grouped because Youghal.

Sometimes Flickr is amazing! Via [https://www.flickr.com/photos/internetarchivebookimages/] from a 1904 book 'The life and letters of the great Earl of Cork' by Dorothea Townshend. This particular image is by 'Walker &Clerkenwell' but other photos in the book are by 'W. Lawrence, Dublin'. I recently learned of "what3words", a new mapping app which uses three words for each three meter square on earth. An alternative mapping language. For example today's photo is at - w3w.co/rushes.oaks.inheriting Hint: hit the satellite view button. Interesting?

There are ‘memorials’ and then there are ‘monuments’. Sometimes it’s hard to tell the difference.
