Glendalough? Looks quite like it although there seem to be more trees now.

Yes, I'm thinking Upper Lake at Glendalough, near this streetview.

Welcome Back, hope you had a very nice break. I am still waiting on the post card, but then the post can be slow these days and if you are like me you probably only got around to sending them on the last day. My first thought is Lough Tay in Wicklow? there is a Guinness owned house there now which was previously owned by the Powerscourt estate, I think the house is called Luggala? EDIT - Glendalough looks a better bet @gnmcauley @peter1892

Oh. I was thinking Lough Mask. I'll have to see if I can find a streetview. Glendalough looks pretty much like it though.

The young man has his right trouser leg clipped up, I'd say he rode his bike up there. Not a trip for a "child".

So, are we all happy enough about it being Glendalough for me to add it to the map, and tinkle our Location Identified Bell?

@gnmcauley Perhaps catalogued by very ancient person? I'd say about 14/15 year old?

@nlireland Definitely Glendalough, if you've ever shot there the light on the right when facing out towards the upper part plays havoc with exposures. The white out on the right suggests our intrepid photographer had the same problem I did when I was there anyway! - www.flickr.com/photos/99002941@N08/9298368785/
