| Summary: | EPH B90a was donated to the NLI by Dulcibella Barton, sister of Robert Barton in September 1937 (this noted on verso of EPH B90a "Miss D. Barton, Sept 1937"). Printed at top of handbill "The Minister of Defence of Dial [sic, Dáil] Eireann, Mr. R. Mulcahy solemnly guaranteed at a meeting of Dail Eireann to keep the Irish republican Army as such ;ntact [sic] till the Elections ...". Printed at foot of handbill: "1. Do the Citizens of Limerick understand that their local units of the I.R.A. have been placed in a false and humiliating light solely because they stood for Principle. 2 Do the I.R.A. men, employed by the Provisional Government to garrison the Barracks in the City at present, know for what purpose they are being used? 3 Will they who fought and suffered for the Republic now take part in destroying it?! |
