Summary: | Contains letters and telegrams relating to the duel fought by Norman Leslie with Yousry (Yousury) Pasha in 1910. Leslie was the last serving British officer ever to fight a duel, which was prompted when a letter Leslie sent to Yousry's wife was intercepted by him. Includes a letter and telegram from Yousry concerning arrangements for the duel, letters to Leonie Leslie and letters from Gen. John Maxwell. Also includes a letter to Shane Leslie from Gen. Sir Montagu Stopford concerning the housing of the rapier Leslie used in the duel, dated 1957.
