Summary: | Contains notes and recipes written or transcribed by Sarah Howard. Also included is list of the Howard's plate (undated), bills and prescriptions, a passport issued to her in 1862 and stamped by officials in Rome and the Vatican in 1863, copies of her husband's coat of arms, her transcriptions assorted verses and hymns and from a book describing the property of her relative George Hamilton at Hawkesbury Mills, Canada. Also included is an undated fragment from her diary in which she refers to visits from clergymen to her home and her intentions to show a greater example to her servants and re-start a Sunday school. |
