Summary:Writes "... Your absence this morning was the only thing which detracted from the completeness of a most dramatic scene, the end of the 'Times' forgeries. I am most satisfied with the rseult, & am absolutely certain that your judgement in the matter was correct and has secured the very utmost that could have been obtained even as the result of costly litigation ...". Russell had advised Parnell not to sue for libel on foot of the 'Times' forgeries.
