Summary:This lecture was delivered by Heaney in his capacity as Professor of Poetry at Oxford, but was not collected in 'The Redress of Poetry'. It relates to the poetry of John Keats, Keith Douglas, Emily Dickinson and Walt Whitman. Included is a manuscript draft, a photocopy of a manuscript draft (dated 18 October 1990), annotated typescript drafts (also dated 18 October 1990) and attached photocopies of poems by Keats, Whitman, Blake, Douglas and Yeats .
