Notes:Gerald O'Connor of Loughglynn, Co Roscommon, served as 1st Battalion Commandant and later as No 2 Brigade Commandant in the 2nd Western Division. After leaving military service he became a teacher in Meelick National School. He was elected Fianna Fáil representative for the Roscommon County Council 1934-1942 and died in 1972.

Complaints include theft, such as cars stolen and robbery of a post office; mail cars raided; men found under the influence of alcohol; 'un-soldierly conduct'; poor attendance at classes; serious 'accidents' in the use of arms involving loss of life; using arms for sporting purposes; revenge on James Browne, a Black and Tan, for the beating of Lieutenant Joseph Satchwell; threatening letters; interference of demobolised RIC men and other 'enemies during the late War' etc.
