Notes:	In 1935 on the recommendation of a friend Elizabeth Rivers visited the Aran Islands, intending to stay for three months, she remained for nearly a year. Rivers returned to the Islands the following year and made them her home until 1943 when she returned to London to play her part in World War II. In 1946 Rivers published an illustrated account of her time on the Islands in 'Strangers to Aran'. It was the last work to be published by the Cuala Press. Physical description: 6 folders. more
