The Right Rev. Robert Fowler was appointed Dean of St. Patrick's Cathedral, Dublin, became Archdeacon of Dublin and was subsequently consecrated Bishop of Ossory and Ferns. He married the Hon. Louisa Gardiner, daughter of Luke Gardiner, Viscount Mountjoy, and the sister of Charles John, Earl of Blessington on 30 December 1796. He died on 31 December 1841.
