The watercolours pasted into this album [of brown paper sheets] are numbered using Roman numerals, with the title inscribed in black ink underneath each image. There are two watercolour studies of women - the watercolour numbered XX, entitled 'Mary at Magheraclogher', of a woman wearing a headscarf of bright red material who stands beside piles of turf, Errigal mountain is depicted in the left background while several thatched cottages are depicted in the right background and the watercolour numbered XXI, entitled 'On Middletown Bog', of a barefoot women, wearing a skirt made of bright red coloured material, who appears to be holding a swaddled baby in her arms, shielding it's face from bright sunlight with her own headscarf. The rest of the watercolours are topographical views of Middletown village, Middletown Bog, Gola Island (seen from the mainland), Carrickfinn Island and Stranabrooney, all in Co. Donegal.
