Letters mostly from Maud Griffith, wife of Arthur Griffith. Other correspondents include George Bernard Shaw, Eva Gore-Booth, Mary MacSwiney and William O'Brien. With some letters sent to her sister Marion Bartels. Marion Bartels' son Wilfred Ewart Bartels was involved with the Irish Volunteers under the alias Liam Kelly.
