Typed letters about the Military Service Pensions Act 1934,

1934 May-Aug.

A two-page letter from Con Moloney, as Secretary of the National Executive I.R.A Old Comrades' Association; also copies of two letters dated 28th May and 2nd June, which are referred to in the 20th August letter. Moloney discusses the promise of the Minister of Defence, Frank Aiken (as indicated in the 2nd June letter from his department) that the Old Comrades' Association will have the opportunity to read and propose amendments to the Military Service Pensions Act. Despite this promise it seems by August that the measure will be rushed through without sufficient time for the Association to respond.
