Additional papers of the children's writer, dramatist and scriptwriter Máirín Cregan (1891-1975), covering the years 1931 to 1961. The papers consist for the most part of letters relating to her play 'Hunger Strike' (its production and publication) and the illustration, publication and translation of her children's book 'Old John'. Included are letters from Lady Gregory, Dorothy Macardle, Daniel Corkery, Jack B. Yeats and the publisher M. H. Gill. Also included are newscuttings containing reviews and a programme for an Irish language production of 'Sean Eoin'.

Yeats, concerning his illustrations of the story, Anne Connell, and the Department of Education regarding the rights to use Yeats' illustrations from 'Sean Eoin' in a bilingual French and Irish edition.
