Letters to Irish born lawyer, journalist and politician William E. Robinson of New York, reflecting his continued interest in Irish political affairs and his support for Irish nationalism. Included are letters from Jerome C. Quinn, written from Liverpool, concerning the Young Ireland prisoners being held in jail ahead of their transportation (1849), Thomas Morey, of Dublin, concerning fundraising efforts to 'propagate the faith of freedom' in Ireland (1851), John C. Cashman of Pittsfield, New Hampshire, concerning Irish politics (1878) and U.S. citizen Henry O'Mahony; writing from prison in Ballydehob, Co. Cork, he requests Robinson's assistance (1882).
