Letters, sent to the lawyer, journalist and Congress William E. Robinson of New York from members of the Irish-American community, concerning support for Irish emigrants, the mobilisation of the Irish vote, political activism among the Irish in America and Robinson's efforts to promote Irish nationalism. Also included are letters relating to Robinson's career as a public speaker on Irish affairs in the U.S. Among those writing to Robinson are Isaac William Stuart, the writer and journalist Robert Shelton Mackenzie and the former Young Irelander Michael Cavanagh.
