Consists of correspondence between Niall Montgomery and Joseph Strick in 1965, regarding Jack Richardson’s play "Gallows Humour" directed by Joseph Strick at the Olympia for which Montgomery designed a set. Also contains correspondence with Chris Curran, Arthur O’Sullivan, Milo O’Shea of the Olympia Theatre, the architects Tobinson Keefe & Devane, Richard Condon of the Dublin Theatre Festival Committee, T.J. O’Driscoll the Director General of Bord Fáilte Éireann, the stage manager of the Eblana Theatre, Quantity Surveyors Desmond MacGreevey and Associates, a telegram from Maureen Potter and several phone messages. Montgomery’s Progress Report for "Gallows Humour’" with some notes and sketches is also included.
