Correspondence regarding Redmond visiting some of the treason felony convicts in Portland prison and an inquiry into the health of these convicts. Some of the prisoners Redmond tries to visit included John Daly, James Egan and Henry Dalton. Correspondence also relates to a report on the state of various prisoners’ health, the prisoners that Ridley believes should be released from prison on medical grounds, and James Daly’s release.
