Bannister refers to Casement as "Scodge". Bannister also goes on to say regarding Kipling's poem; "I could tell him what the flag of England represents in India, Egypt and Ireland, if he would like to know. Oh how I loathe that man. He is the darling of the schools and children are brought up to accept his opinion as though it were infallible. Poor ignorant little things.".
