MS 15,198/1: Correspondence concerning United Irish League branches in South Armagh, a grant for Martin Ward who is threatened with eviction, Elphin meeting, the licensed vintners trade on the proposed temperance legislation, on the need for Party members to urge collections in their constituencies, the Parliamentary Fund collection in Nenagh, a resolution condemning D.D. Sheehan M.P and Johnston informing Redmond that the priests in the constituency are against C.J. Dolan. Also includes a letter from John Hennessy to Johnston concerning the points that Redmond should attend to in his speech for a demonstration at Grange, Limerick. MS 15,198/2: Correspondence relates to Johnston’s ill health, Redmond allowing him a further six month’s salary since he left his position, Johnston not wanting to return to the Office, Johnston travelling to America for recreation, and Johnston offering support to Redmond concerning his injured son.
