Regarding [Guy] Burrows book, 'The Curse of Central Africa', Spicer states; "It is a thousand pities that Burrows is not a strong opponent of the so-called "Independent State" as the authorities will have a better chance of discrediting him wh[ich] will do more harm than good to the cause.".
