Letter from E. D. Morel to Roger Casement discussing a letter he received from [John] Holt informing him the Liverpool Committee appear to be doing little or nothing towards the Congo question and also Casement's letter published in a newspaper and the lack of follow up,

[1906] Aug. 10.

The letter appears to be regarding the establishment of fund in Morel's name, and he speaks of his dignity in relation to this; "It would be a pity- not only from the point of view of the Wife and kiddies, but from the point of view of the cause and of dignity so to speak, the thing ended in a damp squib. It would make me look rather ridiculous and I don't want to!".
