Duggan's diary entries, covering the period 6 January to 28 July 1931, briefly records the dates of political meetings and public and social engagements without any further information. Among his entries are those for 26 Jan. 'Cabinet Meeting 4 o'c Special', 9 Feb. '11.30 o'c Annual Meeting of Meath Farmers Union at Navan', 24 June 'Governor Generals Garden Party 4-6pm' and 6 July 'Park Motor Races. Govt. Dinner'. Duggan's son Gerard has also entered a note on the date of his own birthday on 23 September.
