Typescript copy of letter from William O'Brien to Cornelius Lehane, New York, explaining why the proposed lecture tour of two delegates of the Irish Labour Party in the United States had been postponed indefinitely,
1914 September.
The lecture tour was cancelled due to the outbreak of the First World War which would delay the Home Rule elections and the refusal of James Larkin to be one of the delegates. O'Brien also informs Lehane that James Larkin intends to depart for the United States "in a fortnight" and asks for a letter from Lehane regarding his encounters with his brother, Thomas J. O'Brien.
