Description:The proposed lecture tour did not go ahead. James Larkin arrived in New York independent of the Labour Party in November 1914
The Irish Labour Party intended to raise funds "to put forward Labour Candidates in the first election of the Home Rule Parliament, as it would seem that Home Rule will now be passed in some form.". O'Brien notes that they wanted James Larkin to be one of the delegates but that he has refused and intends "to go to America as free lance".
